AUDITIONS FOR DRAMA WORKSHOP
Drama Workshop is a one-semester course in advanced acting/scene study that also incorporates production of a play (in December). Any student interested in enrolling in the class will need to audition and be accepted. No prior experience or coursework required. Admission will be based on your audition. If you demonstrate the necessary skills to make the cut, you will be admitted. The class size will be limited (14-18 students) and gender-balanced so that the students in the course will be able to focus on improving their skills. Many of the students in the course, though not all, will be performing in the Drama Workshop production in December. All students will study advanced acting through scene study. Scenes will be culled from major works of theatre, not student written. The best scene work from the course will be presented in recital at the end of the course. Students who are not accepted into Drama Workshop have the option of enrolling in Intro to Acting or Acting Techniques which offer open enrollment (not by audition).
